'What's wrong with this picture' challenge

Geometrical baffle
Consider the segments BC, BE and CD that form the triangle ABC shown below... Then, try to answer which one(s) of the following equalities is (are) correct?
1. CD = BE ?
2. CD = BC ?
3. BE = BC ?

Solution

Segment BE appears longer, though ALL segments are the SAME length! (CD = BE = BC)
